I’m all for this service but if resources should be going somewhere else or if it’s a burden I’ll vote for what’s best for us!
I really think that compounding has great value both for the investor as well as for the DAO, let´s keep it.
Personally I’ve liked accumulating PLAY so I haven’t used compounding. If the rewards switched to something else I might compound instead.

Dear fam, we agreed as a community to review the compounding efforts in August, in order to assess it’s performance and define weather or not we continue with this initiative.
I’d like to share with you the analysis of the past 6 months. There’ll be a poll at the end, so please read, comment and vote!
Performance and usage
As per the information below the community usage of the compounding option has been sustained and effective. We allowed staking +500K veDough staked over a period lower than 12 months period (expected in the previous analysis), through the provisioning of service with a reach of 27% of the total holders.
Takeaways
- 122 unique addresses choose to compound at least once — 27% of tot stakers
- 9% of the distributed slice gets compounded on a monthly basis on average
- 222k Slice has been compounded, adding $200,574 were added to the treasury “farmable” capital
- 522k veDough has been staked in 9 months
- Participation performance: ATL 9 | ATH 60 | AVG 31
- Compounding performance: ATL 2,500 | ATH 98,000 | AVG 25,000
Next Steps Subject to Poll Results
- Continue compounding with the current cadence — Once every month, on the first available Wednesday that falls 2 weeks after the Slice distribution
- Review these stats in 6 months — Feb 2023
- Continue the initiative and review in 6 months

I agree with @gabo, thanks for sharing this @Adrian.A . Can you, at any time, decide to send all or a portion of your SLICE to the treasury to compound? I understand that compounding itself only happens once a month. But how about sending it?
Hey @haredog allow me to try to shed a light
You can indeed send a portion or all your SLICE. You should also be opting-in before the compounding date to assure your address is on the list by the time we start the process (usually during UTC’s morning).
Just to be clear, if you choose to compound, the process will firstly claim all your rewards (A) and send them to your wallet (B), and issue a second transaction to send the amount of SLICE you defined (C) from your wallet (B) to PieDAO’s treasury. The amount of SLICE you choose not to compound will remain in your wallet.
